Petting zoo in Cascina Battivacco

LEARNING IN THE FARMHOUSE

Since 2008 Cascina Battivacco has a petting zoo certified by Lombardy Region, this approval is a quality assurance about the range of training.

The project is born wishing to transmit the rural characteristic value, that are important for us, for the environment and for a healty and mindful consumption.
There are fun, group activities and many unforgettable experiences, proposed to educate and sensitise young people for a mindful contact with nature, agriculture and food.

For who is dedicated

The activities of the Didactic Farm are aimed at schools of all levels, kindergartens, families and adults interested in deepening their knowledge about nutrition, agriculture and nature.

Continuous activities are organized for the school holidays, especially during the summer.

Activities

According to the age of our visitors, we organize different activities that vary from the recreational to the more educational ones.
Particular attention is given to the little ones, for them is privileged the most sensory and creative approach, organizing laboratories of manipulation of textures, with the creation of natural paintings using plants, seeds, flowers and anything that inspires their imagination.

There are also walks and guided tours accompanied by demonstrations and explanations, with the opportunity to explore the territory firsthand.
